It was hot and humid. Exhuasting and tiring. Huge and enourmous.
I had lots of fun

Now prepare for an ultra-long journal (I hope it's not THAT long...)
I understood how so many people were nervous about the Expo's location at the Los Angeles Convention Center, smack down in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles.
Yet anything not involving the con was uneventful, and from what I saw, things went smooth with the location. I could be wrong, I was only an attendee.
The LACC is, well, ENOURMOUS. I was kind of exciting walking in: I recognized the place from Rush Hour, during the ending where Jackie Chan and Chris Rock were fighting against the Chinese mafia... very awesome lol. But it was a huge convention center, so huge, that my dad thought there weren't as many peopel as he usually sees when he drops me off at cons. It could've been that, or the center really was that big.
It was very hot and humid out, I could barely stand it outside, especially during the middle of the day. Then I reminded myself that it IS July in Soutner California, so I bore through it XD
Cosplays: Some worked wonderfully. Some didn't.
My Sakura was completed just in time, and I truly adore it. While the skirt is a bit too long (EVERYONE stepped on it at one point, with the string of coins on the bottong of my skirt completely ripping off on Friday night lol), it worked wonderfully well. I wasn't TOO hot and suffocated in it (woven linen, so it breathes well), and I had a short wig, so I wasn't too hot in that either.
I completed my boyfriend Christopher's Syaoran, and I though he looked wonderful ^_^
I have to get him a wig, though, as his hair is black, and he has to cut it soon, too (he goes to a nursing school, and his hair is actually too long for their standards o.O). I had a lot of fun running around with him as Sakura and Syaoran, and my friends were able to take cute fluffy pictures of us without us feeling too akward or uncomfortable

Musicpro's Kurogane wasn't fully complete, but enough to where he could wear it. The mask I made him looked crappy, though, so that didn't work, and I will get him a wig. He has curly hair, and we straightened it once, and it would've worked. It just didn't this time. Blah. So, a wig will be in the future for this costume. As well as a better sword, final details on the ninja top, and an adjustment to the cape.
Fuzzycotton's Tomoyo was, in my eyes, the most adorable thing I had ever seen. But she was unhappy with it (oh Kim you perfectionist you XD), and only wore it briefly on Saturday to pose with Musicpro, Christopher and me. She did promise me that she would wear it again, when she fixed it up (I really don't see what she did wrong, lol. Her sewing abilities far surpass mine...).
As to the Fay, Chi and Yuuko cosplays... they didn't fully work out. Fay's just couldn't get finished in time (AGAIN), Balfran's dress didn't work too well with her, and I never even started on Chi >.>;;. Our Fay and Chi dropped out and couldn't come to AX at all, so I just put that one on hiatus while I worked on Fay in the hopes that I could wear it. But alas.... no.
So. I (think) I learned my lesson: I am starting my costumes MUCH earlier now (watch, I really won't XD).
RinoaTilmitt's booth did wonderfully, though I feel guilty for not helping her out as much as I had planned on. Still, her work was admired and she made a lovely profit. I'm very happy for her

And the con itself was utterly brilliant. I was bummed at the turnout for the CLAMP gathering, but the Final Fantasy gathering was too much fun.
I was also able to meet up with my awesome buddy Flarestone, the first Reno to every kidnap me (as Aeris), and the first friend I made at a con. I practically glomped him when we met up, I was so happy!! We also hung out during lunch at one point, and I gave him pocky (since he and his sister gave me some when I went to Arizona last fall).
I was also able to battle back this time, too, I had a staff

I also met the adorable Blueheart29
[link] , and her super awesome Sora costume and Reno costume. She's too cute XD
And I FINALLY got to hang out with maggifan
[link] !! It was quite fun, too, since I met her while my boyfriend and I were dressed as Sakura and Syaoran. I ran up to say hi to her and her sister Mlarad
[link] , and almost immediately people flocked over to take photos of us XD
We were able to sit and chill and talk for a good hour (Flarestone joining us while he ate a hot dog XD). 'twas fun, and I look forward to one day having an epic Tsubasa photoshoot with her lol

I was quite mad, though, at one point, where Balfran, fuzzycotton and I left to get food. Almost as soon as we left, Rinoatilmitt, Musicpro and Christopher met Pikminlink, along with Misatonopenpen.
...-_-;;
I was quite disappointed. Though I heard Rinoatilmitt had a complete freakout meeting her and nearly freaked Pikminlink out herself XDDD
I was also disappointed in NOT being able to see the masquerade: it sold out!!! I'd never heard of that happening, it was rather unusual lol.
I was able to seethe first movie of Rebuild of Evangelion, the new remake of Neon Genesis Evangelion that is being realeased in Japan. The entire series is being redone in the length of four movies, with the animation getting cleaner.
They were able to do SO much more with it (considering it's creator didn't have all that grand of a budget when he first made it). So the Eva fights, the Angels, and the characters themselves looked utterly amazing.
The plot was rather different (in small significant ways... Misato isn't even supposed to know about Lilith, especially at this point!!), but overall I loved it. And so did Christopher, who's favorite anime of all time is Neon Genesis Evangelion lol.
Oii~ I had too much fun. I'm drained =_=
Thanks a ton to my friends, who took near endless photos of me (especially Balfran), and who put up with my very noisy costume (lots of coins... I jingled everywhere XD).
And thank you for those that I was able to meet up with: it meant a lot to me ^_^
I will have some pictures up VERY soon, and lots of them. Stay tuned
